Exodus 2:11-25 – When Our Strength Is Not Enough

Exodus 2:11-25 – When Our Strength Is Not Enough

Moses had the right intentions, impressive qualifications, and a desire to help God’s people—but his attempt to deliver Israel in his own strength ended in failure. Forced to flee to Midian, Moses entered a long season of waiting that God would use to prepare him for what was ahead. Exodus 2 reminds us that waiting does not mean wasting and that our responsibility is to faithfully do what God has called us to do while trusting Him with the outcome. When Israel finally cried out under the weight of slavery, God heard, remembered, saw, and knew—showing that their hope rested not in Moses’ strength but in God’s covenant faithfulness. Ultimately, Jesus is the greater Deliverer who accomplishes the rescue that no human strength ever could.

God’s faithfulness is enough when our strength is not.
