I have four children, so I am always on the lookout for good books on parenting. One of the things I am always interested in reading about is how to disciple kids and raise them to grow up to love God. Below are two books that have stood out on this topic.
The first book I highly recommend is Family Driven Faith by Voddie Baucham. This is one of my favorite books on the subject. He focuses a lot on how to disciple your child spiritually in the context of the family. Voddie is a great writer and I have no doubt you will find this one an easy yet challenging read. Even if you don’t agree with every point (for example, he prefers homeschooling) you will still learn a lot.
The second book is Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp. The main focus of this book is the discipline aspect of parenting. He gives some excellent points on how to disciple your children and teens as well as some practical information on a biblical perspective of discipline.
Give these two books a try and let me know what you think!
