Joseph’s final chapter (Genesis 50) showcases a faith that obeys, trusts, and hopes. He honors his father’s wishes despite inconvenience, forgives his brothers because he trusts God’s providence. “You meant evil… but God meant it for good.” Then he dies with confident hope that God will bring Israel home. The message calls us to choose obedience over convenience, to trust God to work good from real evil, and to anchor our hope in Christ and our true home with him. Jesus is the ultimate proof that God turns evil into good through the cross and resurrection.
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.
