The time goes by so quick. That is why it is important that we are intentional every day about raising our children to know and love God.

At Island Pond, the mission of the children’s ministry is to partner with parents to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Each Sunday, we strive to foster a safe, loving, and fun environment that will help your children learn more about God.

Sunday Children’s Ministry Information

Two worship services are offered from September to June. During that time, the services times are 9:30 and 11:00 AM. Nursery-aged children can be dropped off at the start of the service. The older children will stay in the sanctuary during the singing to worship with their families. After the singing the pastor will announce when it is time for the kids to be dismissed. Parents will then escort their kids to the lobby to join their class.

Here are the classes offered for each service:

  • 9:30 AM – Nursery (ages 0-4) along with classes up through 12th grade
  • 11:00 AM – Nursery (ages 0-2) along with classes up through 5th grade

During the summer, the worship service is at 10:30 AM.

Children are always welcome to stay in the service with their family, if the parents prefer. If you have a noisy, restless, or nursing child, we have two rooms available: In the library, across the hall from the sanctuary, parents are invited to bring any noisy or restless children. Down in the children’s ministry hallway, there is a mother’s room for nursing or noisy children. Both of these locations have a television with a live feed of the service.
